Hinze Dam

The Hinze Dam is the main drinking water supply for the Gold Coast region.

The Hinze Dam is located in the Gold Coast hinterland. Built across the Nerang River, it was originally constructed in 1976, raised in 1989 and significantly upgraded in 2011 when the dam wall was raised by 15 metres/

For recreational users, there are 2 bota ramps (Eastern and Western) as well as the Dam Wall which has a spillway viewing platform, Cafe, BBQ's, Visitor's Centre and Mountain Bike Trails.
